Just wanted to drop by real quick to let you know that Pics.io now has a better way to preview the following file formats DAM:
- .xls, xlsx;
- .doc, .docx;
- .ppt, .pptx;
- Google Docs, G-Sheets, G-Slides, G-Forms-
If you already store files of any of the above formats in your Picsio library, you can now see all pages in each file, highlight and copy text, and search by contents of those text files in the global search. Pics.io also preserves original fonts of documents and displays them in your library just as in your document processor (MS Office or Google Docs web service).
What does this mean?
In the past, while you could upload text documents to Pics.io, the preview didn’t really exist, as you could not search them by content, thus limiting DAM’s ability to properly index these assets. Now, you get to enjoy the full potential of Pics.io and view your text documents without leaving DAM.

What is DAM?
New here? Digital asset management (DAM, for short) is a cloud-based software designed to make management of your asset library as easy as a pie.
DAM uses metadata to improve discoverability and categorization of assets for faster search and better data upkeep. According to our DAM benefits report, you can save up to 10 hours/mo (per user) that would have been otherwise spent looking for files.
